Neil Campbell and The Long Night – Thursday 18th November

From 4pm on the evening of Thursday 18th November across the whole of Liverpool many galleries and performance venues are opening their doors with programmes of  free artistic events spanning the visual and performing arts. This is called The Long Night.

During that evening, at The Capstone (Liverpool Hope University Creative Campus, Shaw Street (opp the Collegiate), Liverpool) at 6pm and 8pm, The Neil Campbell Collective Mk II (featuring Perri Alleyne-Hughes) will be performing two sets of music involving new pieces and new slants on older band music.

About NCC Mk II Neil says: ‘The music of the new version of the band takes more of  a chamber than a symphonic brand viagra overnight delivery approach in which you can expect tight ensemble playing, unusual time signatures, cyclical rhythms and novel chord progressions fusing a minimalist aesthetic a la Steve Reich within a post-rock/chamber rock context. I hope that sounds like an attractive musical proposition for those who have been adventurous enough to follow the band through its many incarnations!’

Throughout the evening at The Capstone also performing will be Liverpool Harmonic Gospel Choir, Liverpool Guitar Society Ensemble, C-City and Voices of Hope choir along with two art exhibitions and drama performances. Admission will be free and there will be free wine served throughout the evening (which runs from 4-10pm)

Following sets with The NCC Mk II, at 9pm Neil will be playing a solo guitar set at the Domino Gallery, Upper Newington, Liverpool (off Renshaw Street) as part
